The earliest Gothic art was monumental sculpture, on the walls of Cathedrals and abbeys. The easily recognizable shifts in architecture from Romanesque to Gothic, and Gothic to Renaissance styles, are typically used to define the periods in art in all media, although in many ways figurative art developed at a different pace. Primary media in the Gothic period included sculpture, panel painting, stained glass, fresco and illuminated manuscripts. In many areas, especially Germany, Late Gothic art continued well into the 16th century, before being subsumed into Renaissance art. In the late 14th century, the sophisticated court style of International Gothic developed, which continued to evolve until the late 15th century. It spread to all of Western Europe, and much of Northern, Southern and Central Europe, never quite effacing more classical styles in Italy. Gothic art was a style of medieval art that developed in Northern France out of Romanesque art in the 12th century AD, led by the concurrent development of Gothic architecture. I mean paint color names from different manufacturers are really no different, I came from the MINI world and they have had seven (!!!!!) different names for silver since 2002.Crystal Silver Metallic, Dark Silver Metallic, Melting Silver Metallic (TBH this one is pretty cool), Pure Silver Metallic, Sparking Silver Metallic, Velvet Silver Metallic, White Silver Metallic.Top: The Western (Royal) Portal of the Chartres Cathedral ( circa 1145), these architectural statues being the earliest Gothic sculptures and a revolution in style and the model for a generation of sculptors Centre: The Sainte-Chapelle from Paris (1194-1248) Bottom: The Wilton Diptych (1395–1459) At the end of the day, Celestial Silver Metallic is a pretty cool-sounding name. They have to call it something, so they throw names for the silver color at the wall until something sticks. Instead of referring to all silver-colored Gen3 Tacoma's as "silver".they differentiate the paint by code AND name. Toyota (clearly) changed the paint on some level, which warranted a new paint code. I would say it's less about selling vehicles than it is about differentiating paint colors/codes. Some of the other details are in the original post I linked. I have a 3rd gen 4Runner with -25mm offset F5's and they sling crap all up the side of the vehicle, so clean rigs don't stay clean too long, especially here in the PNW. I think it is the perfect combo for what I was going for. They are mounted on the SCS F5 in 17 x 8.5 -10mm offset. 34's were next to nothing, so I opted for the slightly taller 285/75/17's in E load. The price between the Toyo Tires AT3 for 33's vs. I didn't care for the too soft feeling that the OR's come with from the factory. I went with the RXT at stage 3 in the back. I REALLY like how it came out both looks wise and ride. I don't think we went maxed out, buy I did go with 650# coils over the standard 600# coils up front. I wanted to keep at least factory rake and give me some room to pack it up without looking level or getting into negative rake. I wanted a good AT that was snow rated and as light as possible. I sat on the parts for the better part of a year before I decided on what tire I wanted for the new build. He was very helpful in listening to what I was going for and helping to piece together my lift. I pieced it together after contacting Colton, memario1214 with Hotshot Offroad. I wished that having build details was standard practice as it would have helped out my research as well. Now you have mismatched body panels, and you're posting to TW about how the body shop screwed up & what should you do.Ĭlick to expand.I need to put this on my page. If Toyota just called their different silver-colored paints, "silver", there's a greater chance the body shop gets the wrong paint, and repaints your truck with, say, Silver Sky paint vs. It's probably easiest to imagine it this way.there's a situation where you need to have a repair done, so your Tacoma goes to a body shop in need of some bodywork and repainting.
